Honda Brake Class Action

Judge Kimberly J. Mueller of the Eastern District of California approved a settlement of a class action lawsuit on behalf of a nationwide class of owners and lessees of 2006–2011 Honda Civics  with rear drum brakes. Plaintiffs Stacie Zakskorn, Javier Hidalgo, and Rachelle Schreiber alleged that these vehicles had a defective braking system, causing the front brake pads to wear prematurely. False “On Sale” Claims Illegal in California

Have you ever triumphantly purchased a product advertised as “on sale” at what you thought was a discounted price, only to learn that the supposed “sale” price was just as high as, if not higher than, what other stores were charging?  If you live in California, the store that falsely advertised that product as “on sale” could be liable for consumer fraud.
