Kia Motors Horsepower Misrepresentation

Michael Caddell, Cynthia Chapman, and John Scofield, in conjunction with several other law firms, successfully resolved a national class action against Kia Motors America, Inc. The class action pertained to Kia’s misstatement of the horsepower on its Optima for the 2001 and 2002 model years. The resulting settlement provided a cash fund for the benefit of the class.…

Maquilladora Bus Accident

Michael Caddell and Cynthia Chapman were lead counsel for 26 passengers who were killed and/or injured in a tragic bus accident near Brownsville, Texas. A school bus was being used to transport workers from Mexico to a clothing manufacturing plant when the bus swerved to avoid a collision.
